Your own desk
$350 / month
A dedicated workspace with rolling file storage and a leather desk blotter. Leave your monitor and everyday work things here.
Workspace · Ravenswood, Chicago
A very nice place to get some work done.
Your kitchen table has done enough. Room for Improvement is a small, intentionally shared office in a cool old concrete loft building. We really don’t need a 1,200-square-foot glamour office. So we’re looking for a few good people to share it with. Good furniture, natural light, and other reasonably pleasant humans.
No mandatory fun.

A little more room to work
A furnished workspace, a comfortable leather task chair, a lamp, and somewhere to put your things. WiFi, utilities, coffee, and the common spaces are included. Everything is month-to-month.

A possible shared setup for a small team of two. Come see the space and we’ll work out whether it makes sense.

Co-working, minus the co-working
This office is the home base for Good Wanderings. Our work is an odd mixture of design, hospitality, logistics and problem-solving. We create distinctly personal places to stay around Chicago, with unfortunate pun names and rather good beds. This is where we keep the whole peculiar operation moving.
Normal calls and Zoom meetings are fine. Headphones are appreciated. If you spend all day presenting on calls, this probably isn’t the setup for you.
The common spaces include a large meeting table, a round table for lunch, and a lounge. There’s a Keurig and a mini fridge, too.
Your desk and chair are already here. I spent an unreasonable amount of time making everything coordinate. You may, however, bring a coffee mug of your choosing.

Give the room a different job
Sometimes you need a room for a few hours rather than a desk every month. Room for Improvement is also available through Peerspace. The listing has booking details and current availability.
1807 W. Sunnyside Ave.
Chicago, IL 60640
About a three-minute walk from the Montrose Brown Line. Plenty of coffee, lunch, and post-work options nearby.
Tell us a little about yourself, what you do, and how often you imagine using the space. We’ll go from there.
